I originally got this recipe from HERE!! If you like banana bread, peanut butter, and Reese cups, then you will love this! My friend actually calls it "Cracked Out Banana Bread", SO since it was her birthday on the 9th, I'm making her some. I just got it out of the oven to cool and it smells wonderful. I'm so glad I ran upon this recipe, and you will be too. It's pretty simple too, which makes it even better... at least I think so! The less complicated the better. :) I hope you enjoy!!
Ingredients:
3 very ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 Cup peanut butter
1/4 Cup oil
1 egg
1/2 Cup granulated sugar
1/4 Cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 1/2 Cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 oz. bag of Reese's Mini Cups (the tiny ones)
Directions:
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2) Grease your loaf pan (I used a 9x4in.) with butter or shortening. (I used butter.)
3) In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; set aside.
4) In a large bowl, stir together the mashed bananas, peanut butter, oil, egg and both sugars.
5) Pour your dry ingredients into your wet ingredients and stir just until combined. Batter will be lumpy.
6) Fold in your Reese's mini cups and spread batter into your greased loaf pan.
7) Bake for approximately 1 hour or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8) Let the bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then loosen the edges of the pan with a knife and remove from loaf pan. Transfer the bread to a cooling rack. Let cool then enjoy!
*Note: They said if it starts browning too fast that you can turn your oven down to 325 degrees F.
