Cream Cheese Brownies! First Blog Post! :D

How exciting!  My very first blog!!!  Well I guess I should tell you a little about myself and my blog. Well first off my name is Katie.  I love to bake and cook, but I also like to make it as simple as I can. For this blog I am going to try to make simple but yummy goods!  I have never done the whole blog thing before but practice makes perfect right? Haha :)  I am also a Christian.  God has blessed me in so many ways.  I mean he gives me every breath I take (Definitely a blessing).  That's pretty generous considering we are all sinners and deserve nothing.  But I didn't come to preach to anyone I came to bake! So the very first think I am making is Cream Cheese Brownies!! Yum, right?? I am cheating with this recipe a bit because I am using a box of Betty Crocker   Fudge Brownies, but by all means if you want to make your own homemade brownies go ahead.... I'm sure it will taste great... maybe even better considering you are making them yourselves! :)

What you will need:  Box of brownie mix (or whatever ingredients you need for your homemade recipe)
1 8oz. Block of Cream Cheese, softened
                                1/3 cup granulated sugar
                                1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (preferably pure vanilla extract)

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Grease 13x9in. pan.   Mix brownies according to the box (or homemade recipe if you are headed in that direction).  Spread the brownie mixture evenly in pan.

Step 2: Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla extract with an electric hand mixer.

Step 3: Spoon cream cheese mixture over brownies.  Use a case knife to swirl the mixture to make a pretty design and help incorporate the mixture.  Bake at 350 for 35-45 minutes or until middle is set. (Time varies depending on your oven. Mine cooked perfectly in 40 minutes.)  Let cool and ENJOY.

                                           I just couldn't resist ;)
